Congrats Colbert!

Stephen Colbert is officially going to replace David Letterman on CBS’s Late Night spot. He has signed a 5 year contract with CBS. According to Colbert, who has been a guest on Letterman’s show, “Simply being a guest on David Letterman’s show has been a highlight of my career.” In a statement, he followed with, “I never dreamed that I would follow in his footsteps, though everyone in late night follows Dave’s lead.”

Colbert will drop the pusedo-conservative personal he has so flawlessly portrayed for years, and will have to entertain movie stars and tv characters peddling their new releases, but as someone who is known for his tough interviews on the Colbert Report, Colbert will be more than prepared, in my opinion.
